Japanese Tea Garden

Day 5 – Our last day in the Bay

We had a few hours left to do one last thing, and so we decided to tag along with the Cooks to the Japanese Tea Garden located in the Golden Gate Park.  We checked out of our hotel, and left our luggage at the bell hop so we could tour the city once last time.  We took the N-Judah street car/subway, which was completely different from BART, to Golden Gate Park.  This park is San Francisco’s version of the famous Central Park.  If we had an extra day, we would’ve spent it here.  The Academy of Sciences is also home to this park, but we ran out of time and didn’t get to visit it.

This was the entrance to the garden that was filled with koi ponds, bridges, plants and beautiful trees.

The daddies and kids climbed up this steep bridge.

And quickly made it to the top!

I guess you can say the bridge was about 10 feet high.

Adelyn and Michael ran through these stepping stones many times.  This was Michael’s favorite part of the entire garden. Once he took a digger, his interest went downhill…fast!

The tea garden was a great way to end our trip.  It was beautiful and peaceful compared to the hustle and bustle of every other day of our trip.  We enjoyed every second of our vacation, and can’t wait to go back and do it all over again.  San Francisco has a lot to offer.  We’ll be back soon SF!
