Happy Anniversary! 1/26/09

We celebrated our anniversary as a family at Disneyland! It was a big character sighting day, and because it was kind of wet outside, there were no lines so we were able to meet and greet all of them! Michael isn't afraid of any of them, surprisingly. He probably thinks it's so cool that huge "stuffed" animals come alive! Besides meeting all the characters, we rode the train around the park and the monorail to Downtown Disney.

We had dinner and drinks at Gyu-Kaku, a Japanese BBQ restaurant, in Huntington Beach. We love their Bibimbap and salad, and since we've been craving that for a while now, we decided to go there. To top it all off, we had smores! It was delicious!

Happy Anniversary Jason! I can't wait to use our new video camera to capture our most precious moments. I hope you enjoy the Lakers tickets!

Pluto, your ears are longer than my Great-Lolo's ears!

Donald was asking Michael to give him a low-five

Hey that tickles! Hee hee

9 Month Appointment

Michael had his 9 month well-baby visit, and the doctor said he's pretty advanced for his age. He is developing a better memory. When we hide his toys, he's able to remember where we put them and he'll go searching. He loves playing with things that spin -- car wheels, stroller wheels and the toy helicopter rotor blades. He also likes passing games where he gives us his toys or pacifier and takes them back. He's got such a great personality and is very friendly that people are drawn to him wherever we go. He's definitely a people person.

He crawls everywhere and pulls himself to stand. He started cruising along the couch not too long ago -- signs showing that he is interested in walking. He enthusiastically waves "bye bye", and plays that game where you pat your mouth while making a "ba-ba" sound. He's definitely learning how to imitate us. It's so cool watching him progress.

Michael can say a few words like "mama", "baba", "yaya" and "wawa". We are trying to get him to say "da da". Sometimes it sounds like he says "hey!". He can shake his head "no" too.

As far as food goes, he still favors vegetables over fruits. He loves pancakes, toast, and puffs.

9 month stats:
Height - 29-1/3"
Weight - 20lbs 5oz

Bubbles Bubbles for Everyone!

Ethan and Michael had so much fun sharing a bath together! Michael loved the freedom he had in Grandma's huge tub. He was laughing and bouncing around like you wouldn't believe! Sometimes he'd bounce into Ethan's space and trap him in the corner. They were splashing bubbles everywhere that I had to stay back to make sure my camera wouldn't get wet. I captured great videos of them but can't post them because body parts would be exposed.

Look at that smile!
And yes, Michael has a farmer's tan.

Ethan's 1st Birthday Party 1/9/10

Party out in the sun while Ethan turns one! We spent the afternoon at Irvine Park to celebrate Ethan's first birthday. It turned out to be a pretty warm day for January. Michael enjoyed playing in the playground and riding the train. When it came time to feed the ducks some bread, he decided he was gonna eat the bread himself!

I hope Ethan enjoys his new clothes and bath toys. Michael loves the little squirty toys that his friend Adelyn gave him and thought that Ethan might like them too.

Oops! =)

An Adventure at California Adventures 1/8/10

We spontaneously decided to spend the evening at Disney's California Adventures. Michael went on the carousel two times in a row. He had such a ball the first time around that we decided to go on it again. Bad idea. He looked like he was gonna throw up the second time, and so did I.

Mommy and Daddy battled on the Toy Story Ride, and this time Daddy was the victor. (146,000 to 140,000)
I love my daddy

Look I can ride the carousel now

Happy Birthday Lolo 1/4/10

We had dinner at this Japanese Restaurant called Akasaka to celebrate Lolo's 55th birthday. Michael challenged Lolo and Tita Carmel to a chopstick fight. He's so coordinated. He also kept waiving the chopsticks in the air and tapping them on the table. You can listen to his steady beat below. He was a hit with the young waitress. He kept trying to reach into her apron (to grab her pencil), and at one point, he touched her butt! Daddy needs to teach him to keep his hands to himself.

A Nice Day at the Park

It has been really really warm for the winter season so we decided to dress the boys in some shorts and take them to burn some calories at the park. Michael loves sitting in all kinds of different kinds of swings. =) We held his hand as he went down the slide. Once he reached the bottom, he would freeze and sit there to admire all the other kids running around. He's growing up so fast...where's my baby going?

I grew! My body shows in this swing
(not just legs)

Ready Nana? Here I go!

First Disney Trip..of the year 1/3/10

It was Daddy's last day of vacation, and we really didn't get the chance to spend much fun time together because of all the house renovations. So, we decided to spend his last vacation day at Disneyland. Tita Carmel, Anyleis and Ramon came along and joined in on the fun. We rode Casey Jr's Circus Train and the Storybook Land Canal Boats. Since Ramon was in a wheelchair, we thought we could get special treatment and hop on rides quicker. Haha! We were wrong. Every ride is wheelchair accessible, so for all you people who like to find short cuts, Disney is one step ahead of you! The handicap are treated equally to you and me.

Goodbye 2009. Hello 2010!

We rang in the new year at Tita Geraldine's first new house. It was a big year for our cousins this year because four of us bought our first homes. We're all growns up! Michael and I had a very bad cold but we managed to stay up for the countdown. Everyone had fun playing "Just Dance" on the Wii. You can really break a sweat and learn some cool dance moves while playing that game.

On New Years Day, we went to OPH, and Michael had pancakes for the first time. He almost ate a whole pancake! It was that good. I also gave him a little bit of scrambled eggs, but oops...i wasn't supposed to. Egg whites are a big no no for babies under 12 months. =X

Just about to have pancakes. Whats up?

Pardon my shirt. My drinking got a little out of hand.
