First Movie Experience – Winnie the Pooh

At 2 years and 3 months old, we decided to test the waters and see if Michael would survive a movie experience…and he did!  We took him to see Winnie the Pooh on opening night!  There were crowds of people lined up for tickets, but of course they were there to see Harry Potter and not cute old Pooh.  I was pretty worried that he wouldn’t sit through movie previews plus 63 minutes of a show without any interactive questions like they do on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or Super Why, but he did extremely well!  We are so proud of him!  We’re looking forward to more movie nights with you, our big boy Michael. <3

Pooh bear, Tigger and I are ready for the show!

IMG_2097 He sat in his seat for about 40 minutes of the movie – the box of popcorn really kept him occupied.

IMG_2109 For the last 20 minutes, he stood against and climbed onto the railing, but his eyes were still glued to the screen.

IMG_2089 Soo excited to see Winnie the Pooh!

**Post movie Interview**

Me: What movie did you see today?

Michael: Winnie-A-Pooh!

Me: What did Winnie the Pooh do in the movie?

Michael: He eat hunny.

Me: What was he looking for? What did Eeyore lose?

Michael: He lose his tail. Winnie-A-Pooh eat hunny.

I love how he understands questions, and can properly answer.  He doesn’t quite know how to create sentences in past tense, but his responses are complete thoughts.  He got the gist of what the movie was about, had a good time, and that’s all that matters. =)
