DCA Character Day

We initially planned on going to the OC Fair this morning, but we woke up to rain…in July!  How odd is that?  We thought it would make the fair grounds wet and muddy (where all the animals would be), and even though Michael would’ve loved to splash in puddles, we opted out and thought Disneyland/DCA would be less crowded.  We were wrong.  Apparently everyone else thought it would be empty too.

It was a character sighting day for us.  First up, Buzz Lightyear!

Low five!  The line for Toy Story was at least a 45 minute wait…this visit with Buzz will have to do.

Next, we found Mulan standing all alone by the Tortilla Factory that just closed down.  When I asked her if she’s always at DCA, her response was, “No, sometimes I go to China.”  Way to be in character! lol.

Mulan noticed Michael’s Lightning McQueen shirt.  She directed us where to go to find him and Tow Mater.

We tried to go on the Little Mermaid ride, but it was closed.  Monster’s Inc was closed.  Everything else had long lines so we went to Disneyland. But it was yucky hot and humid that we bought some chocolate covered frozen bananas and chilled in the shade.  On our way out, we bumped into the Viramontes Family.  It’s so funny that we always see them everywhere we go… It’s almost as if we planned to be at the same places.
