April is always a busy month with birthdays and Easter, and since Jason’s birthday landed in the middle of the week, we decided to do something low-key. We had a relaxing dinner (meaning no Michael) at Kabuki with my buy one combo get one combo free coupon. Score! For you sushi lovers, I highly recommend the Hamachi Sake Box Sushi Roll which has layers of salmon, crab, rice and topped with yellowtail. It is simply delicious…and yes, we are fans of raw fish.
After dinner, we enjoyed some coffee creme brulee birthday cake from a bakery in Irvine. There’s just something special about Asian cakes…they’re very delightful, spongey and not too sweet. You can have slice after slice and not feel like you’re eating something bad.
