Where did the time go? Where did my little boy go?? Time sure flies when you’re enjoying life, and I wouldn’t trade these past 2-1/2 years for anything in the world. Having Michael changed my life, and I’m grateful for being able to share about 1,314,000 minutes with him...and excited for more! (I’m hoping I still get my math right. HAHA)
Anyway, Michael is now officially a big boy, and just for our records, I thought I’d do an update.
Here is Michael Damian at 2.5 years old.
(35.5 inches tall and 30.5 lbs)
He is quite a ham. He LOVES to dance and sing.
He loves anything sweet especially cake pops, french macaroons, chocolate flavored yogurtland, and mint chocolate chip ice-cream.
His favorite foods are beans, rice, tofu, miso soup, broccoli, carrots, peas and anything with oats.
He sleeps in a big boy bed all by himself. I’m proud to say that he’s never gotten up in the middle of the night, but he sleeps around midnight.
He likes to collect Yogurtland Hello Kitty spoons, pencils, and golf tees. He has quite the imagination and loves to play pretend. Here he set up a Yogurtland shop - his toys were customers and got their own spoon.
He’s such a sweetheart and is really loving despite his affinity for boxing and “play”fighting. He has an infectious laugh and makes everyone smile. He’s sensitive when he sees mommy sad, and will give me a hug and kiss to make me happy, but is the total opposite when it comes to his daddy. He’s very smart and has an ongoing love of learning. Oh, and he wants a brother (but that won’t be a birthday present).
And here are a few more Michael favorites:
- TV Shows: Little Einsteins, Team Umi Zoomi, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. These shows highlight numbers and shapes, and that’s what fascinate him at the moment.
- Games: Playing on the computer – Pbs kids and Disney junior games, Puzzles, Cards and Hide n Seek
- Sports: Golf, Basketball, Baseball
- Colors: Red and Blue
- Arts and Crafts: Practicing how to cut in straight lines, how to glue and color within the lines. He loves to paint and enjoys making a mess more than his final product.
- Vocabulary: There’s nothing he can’t say or comprehend. He listens to our conversations and interjects, but has the SWEETEST little voice ever!
- Potty Trained?? Not fully, but he goes potty everyday!
