Kids Bowl Free All Summer

Who knew that there are "free" activities out there for kids besides hanging out at the park? We bowled for free at Yorba Linda Bowl and just had to pay for bowling shoes. Well, everyone else bowled for free, and I had to pay full price because I forgot to print out the voucher. LOL I guess it wasn't so free after all.

Little Corona Del Mar

Emily invited us to hang at the beach by her mom's house. Her mom lives in such a nice neighborhood! Michael wasn't having too much fun for some reason. He was afraid of the waves and all the seaweed that covered the beach so we only stayed for a little bit.

He was showing Logan how to pour sand into a bucket. Hardwork?

The kids all collaborated in an attempt to dig a huge hole. I don't think they got very far.

The kids! They've gotten so big!

Legoland

Since our Disneyland passes expired, we went to Legoland for a change. And I'm so glad we did because we escaped the heat and the crazy crowds that we would have encountered had we gone to Disneyland.  The temperature was at least 10 degrees cooler down in Carlsbad, and Michael enjoyed EVERYTHING there. He walked the entire time, and only sat in the stroller while walking to and from the park.

We stood in line for about 45 minutes for this ride not knowing that the park was virtually empty. You have to pedal in order to move through this suspended roller coaster. Lol, don't do on a hot day!

Michael earned his Volvo Driving School Drivers License. He never bumped into the walls or to any kid!

Lola came too!

The last time we were here, he kept reminding us how we forgot to play golf so this time we made sure we didn't forget. He is holding his golf club like so because that is how Lolo taught him to carry his clubs - so they don't drag or get scratched.

Birdie!
For our last 45 minutes, we visited the Sea Life Aquarium.

Sky Zone

A new indoor trampoline place called Sky Zone recently opened up by our house, and Nicole and her family had planned to spend the morning there for their annual family fun week. I guess you can consider us family since we hang out almost weekly. This place is a total workout! You're drenched in sweat after a few minutes of jumping! But it's soo much fun, and super clean too. I didn't get to take many photos since I was jumping around too.

Every jumper is required to wear these neat jumping shoes.
Michael and I loved jumping off a trampoline into this foam pit. It was pretty tough to climb out of.

Brave

Brave was Michael's second movie ever in the theaters. If it wasn't for the popcorn and other snacks, he wouldn't have been able to sit through the entire movie. He has yet to sit through a dvd at home, but it's totally fine with me! ;)

The Brave message was so good:
Our fate lives within us, you only have to be brave enough to see it.

4th of July

This year, the 4th landed right in the middle of the week with no extra day off for Jason. But it didn't stop us from having a bbq at our house with our family. It was pretty eventful. We celebrated independence day, my birthday and had a house blessing until the wee hours of the night. Our neighbors filled the culdesac and lit up fireworks and sparklers. We also had a great view of the fireworks show from a nearby park!
Jason got a huge chocolate dobash cake from Kings Hawaiian. Chocolate chiffon cake with chocolate pudding and frosting..so yummy! It's not your typical overly sweet chocolate chocolate cake.

So proud to be American!

Emily had fun watching the boys bounce in the bounce house.

Love Emily's face as Ethan kicks the tarp around.

Michael showed everyone his driving skills

It was so funny that he asked Ethan if he wanted him to drive straight or left and right (zig-zag).

Thank you all for making this day so special!

A Sweet Disney Farewell

We really enjoyed having Disney annual passes for the past three years, but when you go so often, sometimes the joy and magic of being there gets lost. At least that's how it seemed for Michael because he wasn't always excited to go. So we decided that we would take a break from renewing our passes (at least for the summer). But we're so glad we got to experience Cars Land before our passes expired!
Adelyn and Michael tried pulling the sword from the stone.

No luck, but lots of fun.

We hung out at DCA for a few hours - enjoyed a yummy Ghiradelli sundae and rode Michael's favorite ride, 'Toy Story', one last time.

Got some pretzel balls from Cars Land

We watched a special 4th of July fireworks show which Michael loved! Then Jason and Michael got their silhouettes cut out. It's so cute how much they look alike!

Farewell Disney, it was a sweet 3 year run. We will miss you.
