Ethan's Birthday Party

We helped celebrate Ethan's 3rd birthday at Knotts Berry Farm. For a January baby, he always gets so lucky with the weather on his birthday. It was perfect! We almost had the park all to ourselves too as nobody is there on Sundays.
Last night, Michael wanted to personalize his card to Ethan. He really drew every picture by himself.
They started the day at Camp Snoopy on the airplane. Ethan flew with his leg hanging out the entire time!

Then it was time to bounce! Look at all of Michael's facial expressions! Gravity does a number on his big cheeks!
Haha
LOL!!!

They put their arms up when the robbers entered our train car. They looked so frightened!
This robber asked Michael for his money, and of course Michael cried. Poor thing! He was so scared!

Lolo's Birthday

November to January are always busy months for us because many of our friends and family members have birthdays during this season, not to mention Christmas, the New Year and the seasonal cold/flu. So finally after we all got over our illnesses, we were able to squeeze in a nice belated birthday celebration for Lolo at Kabuki. Originally we were going to go to the Cheesecake Factory, but the wait was over an hour so we ditched them and went for nice Japanese food instead. Plus, Michael's favorite food is tofu and rice!
Happy XXth Birthday Lolo!
I wonder if he made a wish or just blew out the candle...

The routine: Lolo blows out the candle and Michael enjoys his ice cream. ;)

Ethan Turns 3

Michael wanted to visit his big cousin, Ethan, who turned 3 today! They drove Ethan's power wheels car up and down the cul-de-sac, and filled it up with "gas" when it ran out. It seems like it was only yesterday that these boys were learning how to sit up and crawl...and now they're already driving??

Travis Ranch Park

After looking through the thousands of photos that I've snapped using the automatic mode on my digital camera, I thought it's about time I played with the different functions this camera is capable of. So today, since Michael is usually the subject of all the photos I take, he patiently cooperated while I played around with my camera. =)

Ok so I didn't really take many pictures, but he was such an angel that we stopped by Travis Ranch Park on our way to Costco. I love this park!

The playground is well-shaded in the afternoon! Thus the slides are cool enough to go down.

His favorite parks have to have swings!
So angelic!
And he's ready to try samples from Costco...

Disneyland on New Years Day

We kicked off the year with a nice visit to both Disney parks. First up was California Adventures where all we did was go on Toy Story. After a good 40 minute wait, we decided to head to Disneyland where all we did was walk around. Can you believe we didn't wait in line for any rides?
Michael said he was thinking about cheese when we took this picture.
We spent most of our time on the island. He pumped the water out of the shipwreck to uncover the hidden treasure chest.
Hangin' tough!

Our final stop was Innoventions where we played a bunch of video games. I know, we went to Disneyland to play video games???
Here, Michael was giving power to build and expand cities.
We just might have to invest in a Kinect. The boys loved playing on this system!

New Years Eve

We rang in the new year with an intimate celebration at home, just the three of us. Since we're naturally night-owls, we didn't have a problem staying up for the countdown. =) We had a mini Mexican feast to go along with our margaritas. Michael had some sparkling cider and wanted to play "cider flip-cup". He's gotten really good at flipping the cup; perhaps we'll officially take the flip-cup title for "Family of the Year"! Haha.

We had party hats, noise makers and party poppers to celebrate the new year! This was our best new years yet as a family. I have a feeling that 2012 will be a very good year for all of us.
Ready to party!!

Happy New Year!
