Aquarium of the Pacific 3/31/10
Michael, Tita Carmel and I spent the morning at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. It was a first for Michael and me. (Thanks to the Cooks for the free ticket!!) We enjoyed looking at all the exhibits despite the large crowd. Michael loved watching the sea lions bite each other. He also was intrigued by the colorful saltwater fish -- Nemo and Dory! But I think his favorite part was chasing the stray pigeons that were walking out on the patio. After the aquarium, we had lunch with Ninong Johnny at Chili's where we hoovered a chocolate chip paradise pie! Yummmy!

First Steps 3/20/10
Michael took at least 10 consecutive steps all by himself today! It was amazing! I opened the door to the backyard to let Ethan and Adelyn run around and play, and here comes Michael scurrying away to the doorway. It was like he saw freedom and wanted to experience it. Stay tuned for the video...

Spring Break at Disneyland? 3/16/10
Yesterday, we went shoe shopping for Michael at Nordstrom Rack and found some nice grey laceless chucks. He's been cruising everywhere around the house lately. We decided to test them out at the Brea Sports Park, and lo and behold, the Cooks and friends were there playing! What a coincidence. Nicole invited us to go to Disneyland today, and so we met up with Adelyn and her friends Keri, Abbie, Luke and their Nana.
It was incredibly packed for a Tuesday, and melting hot! It appears that Spring Break has begun for some folks already. Michael got so red as a result of refusing to wear his hat. At the end of the day, we all enjoyed some Haagen Daaz ice cream and sorbet. The mango was delicious!

Meet My Friend Pooh 3/9/10
It was such a beautiful day that we decided to spend it at our 2nd home...Disneyland! We rode on a few rides, had lunch and visited Winnie the Pooh. The photographer snapped at least 10 photos of Pooh and Michael, and they turned out so cute!

10 months old 2/2/10
Where have the days gone? Michael is now 10 months old! Lola Louie took Tita Carmel, Michael and me out to dinner at The Olive Garden. Hooray for coupons! He made friends, yet again with several different parties and waived bye bye to everyone when we left.
Michael tried their breadsticks for the very first time and loved them...he refused to eat his own food after having them. We had to play games with him to get him to eat the healthier food. He drank water from a kiddy cup using a straw, but I wonder how much actually went down his throat...his shirt was pretty soaked by the end of dinner. We tried to let him "color" with crayons, but of course they ended up in his mouth. It's okay because they're non-toxic right?? I hope so.
10 months? That means we need to get on the ball planning his first birthday!! Oh my.

Happy Anniversary! 1/26/09
We celebrated our anniversary as a family at Disneyland! It was a big character sighting day, and because it was kind of wet outside, there were no lines so we were able to meet and greet all of them! Michael isn't afraid of any of them, surprisingly. He probably thinks it's so cool that huge "stuffed" animals come alive! Besides meeting all the characters, we rode the train around the park and the monorail to Downtown Disney.
We had dinner and drinks at Gyu-Kaku, a Japanese BBQ restaurant, in Huntington Beach. We love their Bibimbap and salad, and since we've been craving that for a while now, we decided to go there. To top it all off, we had smores! It was delicious!
Happy Anniversary Jason! I can't wait to use our new video camera to capture our most precious moments. I hope you enjoy the Lakers tickets!
