Balloon Fun 10/15/09

Grandma Diane brought home a big red balloon for Ethan and me to play with. We spent more time playing with the balloon string than the balloon itself. The balloon entertained us for the entire day!

6 Month Well Baby Visit

Michael is now 6 months old! He can sit up without support and is scooting over to the things he has his mind on. Looks like he may crawl soon! We had to lower the crib to the lowest setting because he can pull himself up to stand. He is a very determined boy. He'll scoot until he can reach the tv remote control, cell phone or the Fisher-Price sing-along book. We have trouble changing his diaper because he's so quick to flip over and sit up. It's practically a two person job now. He fits into 9 month old clothing and is eating rice cereal, bananas and pears. We are hoping to move on to sweet potatoes and oatmeal soon!

The doctor examined his gums, and said his four top teeth are coming in. In fact, two of the four have already poked through his gums, and they aren't the front two middle teeth! haha! So he will probably have his top right tooth, a gap, left middle tooth and another gap. In a few weeks he should have a total of 6 teeth. =)

Halloween Preview 10/02/09

Michael turned 6 months old today! We celebrated at Disneyland and admired the special Halloween decor. Boy was the park packed! We were elbow to elbow on the way to the Haunted Mansion, but the ride was worth the trouble. Michael wasn't scared at all! Look at what Michael is going to be for Halloween this year. Since he loves to bounce while he sits, we decided he would be the perfect tigger!

Splish Splash, Ethan and I were taken a bath...in grandma's living room! Ethan splashed all his water out of the bucket and left huge puddles on the tile floors. We had so much fun!

A Disney Day 9/21/09

Jason took the day off today so we decided to spend the afternoon at Disneyland with Tita Carmel and the Cook Family (all season pass holders!). After riding on Peter Pan, Indiana Jones and the Jungle Cruise, we noticed all the food stands were closed! We didn't know that the park was closing early -- at 6:00 -- because of a private event. So we rushed over to Fantasyland to get on as many rides as we could before they kicked us out. Michael went on Dumbo for the first time too. The poor guy passed out as soon as he got off the ride so he missed out on the rest of the Fantasyland rides that everyone else got to enjoy.

Sitting & Singing 9/15/09

Michael is now a little over 5 months, and he is learning how to sit on his own. While sitting, he bounces up and down and gets so excited that he loses his balance. He's still learning how to catch himself when he falls over. Michael also loves books! He especially loves the electronic books that read the story outloud and play music. He'll try to talk back or sing along as it plays. Oh he's becoming so much fun!!
