Easter at the Park

After the game, we headed to the Tustin Sports Park for an early Easter celebration with Jason's family. The kids had their egg hunt as soon as we arrived. This wasn't their first egg hunt but for some reason they were confused at what to do at first. Then we feasted on burgers, sausages, pasta and potato salads, cake, and cake pops!

Is there an egg in the tree?
Yeah there is...a golden egg with some $ inside!
Each kid had his/her own basket filled with goodies. Even Emily was busy opening her eggs.
The boys had a lot of fun playing soccer!

Homemade cakepops!

Angels Game

We continued Michael's birthday week at Angels Stadium for their 2nd game of the season. Michael and Jason were super excited to see the newest Angels ballplayer, Pujols, in action...but he was cold. We had great seats, but relocated after a few innings because of the hot hot sun. Regardless of the heat, we had a good time at and can't wait for more this season!

Michael played a few games and did some coloring

Michael's Bounce House

We went big this year for Michael's birthday present. Just how big? BIG! He loved to jump and bounce since he was a baby, and we thought a bounce house would be the perfect gift. It was a total surprise to him too, and I'm glad we kept it a secret because when he first saw it, he was so thrilled! He kept asking if it was his to keep.
The bounce area has plastic balls and a basketball hoop, and a little wall to climb up to the top of the slide. It is a blast!

He loves it!

I am just a little over the individual weight limit, but I've had my share of bouncing and sliding. Jason weighs a little bit too much, but he decided to give it a try. Bad idea. As soon as he got to the top of the slide, the entire house tipped, and Michael evacuated so fast. It's a good thing nobody got seriously hurt. Note to everyone: respect the warning labels or play at your own risk. =)

Egg Dyeing

This year we got actual egg dyeing cups, but the tablets don't match the cup colors. Go figure.

Another Sea World Visit

We had another fun family day at Sea World, just the three of us. Michael had a good time, but I think he had more fun when he explored the park with his buddy Ethan.

We started the day off at the Sesame Street Bay of Play where Michael bounced, ran and punched some punching bags. He was in heaven! As his height was being checked, he tiptoed to make himself look taller. He naturally met the height requirement, but it was so funny that he would think to do that all by himself. What a smart, sneaky boy!

We watched the Blue Horizons dolphin show and sat in the last row of the soak zone. I'm glad we didn't get wet!
Got to see the view of the park and more through the Sky Tower Ride

Touched some sea stars at the tide pool

Michael's favorite thing about Sea World was the penguins. He was so exhausted by the end of our visit, but as soon as we entered the penguin exhibit, he gained a second wind. There's just something neat about those penguins. =)

Michael turns 3!

This week was all about Michael's birthday, so Jason took a vacation the entire week! Today was a very, very special day as Michael turned 3! We asked him what he wanted to do for his actual birthday, and he chose to bake a cake, go to Disneyland, and build a triceratops from Build-A-Bear. And that is what we did. We avoided Disneyland for at least 3 weeks so he would be excited about going for his special day.
First ride...Toy Story! So unpredictable. lol
He LOVES playing games. He can't tell you what Toy Story (the movie) is about, but he knows all about the game.
We didn't go on any other rides really because he wanted to play games. He actually threw a ball into the mitt all by himself.

**Build-A-Dino**

Michael was eyeing this triceratops for weeks. Throughout the day, he kept asking if it was time to build it. He was so thrilled to finally take it home today!

He loved helping stuff the animal.

And fluffing it
Meet Triceratops Triceratops. Yes that is his first name and last name. And he loves sports, basketball to be exact.
**Then it was time to head home for some birthday cake and presents with close family.**

Michael was in charge of every decision made for his birthday. He chose to make a 3 layered cake with different colors - green, blue and bright pink.
He divided the batter evenly and added the food coloring.
Happy 3rd Birthday, Michael!

 We love you so much!
